A Guided Tour of Madness is a 3-disc anthology which features 70 singles and album tracks (from One Step Beyond... to The Liberty of Norton Folgate) and an exclusive DVD of the band's comeback concert at Madstock in 1992. NEDS "Non Educated Deliquents"

Peter Mullan takes the directorial helm once again in his third feature length film, returning to 1970’s Glasgow in NEDS (which stands for 'Non-Educated Delinquents'), a personal but not autobiographical tale. John McGill is a confident young man, an academic genius and full of potential, however dark clouds lie ahead for him. A poor background, dysfunctional home, an alcoholic father and a repressed mother, are at the root of the problems heading the young man’s way. His school has one or two good teachers, but most are uninterested and unhelpful in the face of bullying and overwhelming gang culture which has spread from local housing estates to the schoolyard.

BROOKLYN BABYLON

"Brooklyn Babylon" begins with some pointed intercutting between a Jamaican rap band in rehearsal and a Hasidic wedding in ecstatic progress. The director, Marc Levin, is establishing images of two cultures on a collision course — the setting is the divided Crown Heights neighborhood in Brooklyn — but he is also suggesting how much the two groups have in common. The Rastafarian rappers and the Hasidic celebrators find inspiration in the same biblical tale: that of the love of King Solomon for the Queen of Sheba. It's that very tale, reinforced by references to "Romeo and Juliet" and "West Side Story," that shapes the movie.

LAND OF LOOK BEHIND

Land of Look Behind is a 1982 documentary film about Jamaica. It was filmed in May and June of 1981 by Alan Greenberg, and was the director's first film. The film's cinematographer was Jörg Schmidt-Reitwein, an associate of Werner Herzog. The musical score is by K. (Kerry) Leimer.The film begins with footage of Jamaica's wild interior region called the Cockpit Country. It also features footage of the funeral of reggae musician Bob Marley. A number of Rastafarians are interviewed, and performers Gregory Isaacs and Mutabaruka are also featured. In addition, Father Amde Hamilton of The Watts Prophets performs a spoken word piece during Marley's funeral service.Land of Look Behind won the Chicago International Film Festival's Gold Hugo Award.Werner Herzog has said in the film's DVD commentary that "This film achieves things never seen before in the history of cinema." The American director Jim Jarmusch writes in the DVD liner notes that Land of Look Behind is "striking...beautiful...near-perfect."In 2007 the film was released on DVD, with interviews of and commentary by Greenberg and Herzog.

TOOTS AND THE MAYTALS @ GLASTONBURRY

Grammy award winning Jamaican reggae group Toots and the Maytals, formerly known as just The Maytals, emerged in the early 1960s with their gospel style harmonies. The group led by Toots Hibbert went on to clock up more Jamaican number ones than any other act, with a string of hits in the late sixties and early seventies. Their international successes Monkey Man and Pressure Drop saw a revival when UK acts The Specials and The Clash released covers of the respective tracks at the dawn of the eighties. True reggae royalty, Toots & the Maytals delight the crowd at The West Holts Stage on Sunday.

BOB MARLEY SPIRITUAL JOURNEY

It has material in it that could be found in the other two documentaries I own. Live at the Rainbow and The Legend Live both have additional documentary DVD's that go at lot more indepth to his life and beliefs. This movie does have portions of some rare interviews and snippets of concerts that I wish I had the complete footage to but maybe in the future it will be released by the estate of Marley. All in all - 1. Its authentic 2. Has some rare footage 3. and is hard to find in a local store: so pick it up while you have the chance.
